Flour and water glue

I was on my Papier Machie craft project when i ran out of glue ! This is not what you want when you are fully obsessed with your new idea!

I thought of more fun :) and decided to make my own glue out of flour and share my recipe of homemade glue with you .,.,

It is easy and non-toxic.
You will need flour and water....

To make a flour and water glue follow these instructions:

Boil 5 cups of water in a saucepan.

In a bowl, mix 1/4 cup of sieved flour with a cup of cold water. Mix to a smooth consistency (a bit like making custard). When completely free of lumps, add the mixture to the water in the saucepan. Gently boil, stirring constantly for two or three minutes until the mixture thickens.

Allow to cool before using.

This will make a runny glue. If you prefer a very thick glue (or if you are in a hurry for it to dry) use this recipe instead:

Thick flour and water glue:

Use 1 whole cup of flour to three cups of water. Make using the same method as above.

you can cool it by placing it in ice.
use it as you wish. :)

Paper Flowers

I simply love flower making, moreover its already spring and and it is a must project :D

Here's is how i made them!
They simply look adorable..

Newspapers,water colors,Glue and scissor. :)

Steps to make these flowers:
1. 4 Newspaper pages stacked together.
2. Make a spiral from the center with the constant width with a pen or marker.
3. How large the Spiral would b depends on how large you want your flower to be.
    * i preferred  a spiral with diameter 10 to 15 centimeters.*
4. Starting from the end of the spiral starting folding the paper inwards, first tightly than loose towards the ends.
5. Here u are done, join it with glue at the back end.
6. Now pick the color of your choice and start coloring the edges of the flower.

In the end you get a beautiful paper flower.

These flowers can be made with Fabric, book pages or any good material you have.
Fix it on a hair pin or as gift wrapping flowers or use it as you wish. These simply look fantastic.

DIY Tissue Paper and Twigs Wreath

I made this wreath in Autumn last year and I'm such a lazy person to share it now, In spring! I thought it is not good but damn it I'm sharing it anyway.

I hope you like it and give it a try.

Materials Required:

Twigs. These can be arranged from any overgrown tree that needs trimming a bit.
Tissue paper or toilet paper.
Ribbon.
Glue.
Cardboard
Little Pebbles. I got mine from our driveway.

Lets Begin:

1. Twist your twig in a circle keeping one end longer. Wrap the longer end over the other end to make a complete circle. I'm using willow tree twigs, they are long shinny and bend easily. Also I've not skinned them, I like them as they are. Natural!

2. Take another twig and wrap it around the previous one( over the first round). First round is important, try to get the shape right.

3. Wrap as many twigs as you like taking one at a time until you are satisfied with the thickness of the wreath.

4. Trim out all the unruly twigs and use glue to fix them if needed.

Now lets make the stone ornament to decorate it with.

1. I found some really good shaped pebbles. For this you will have to search for nice looking pebbles all by yourself. The trick is try to put them together to see if they look good. I have put them to look like hugging couple. Isn't that cute?

2. With the help of Glue paste the pebbles on the hard cardboard piece and cut it around except for the bottom side, so that we can glue that to our twigs.

Decorating with tissue paper flowers.

1. Makes some tiny tissue paper flowers and paste them over the twigs. Simple.

You can hang it with the help of some ribbon. I hope you like my post. Thank you. Bye.

Step2: Chain 1. Yarn Over. Insert hook in the hole of magic ring. Yarn over and pull.
Repeat 4 more times.
Step3: Yarn over. Pull through all of the loops.
