World is flooded with the design inspirations for the slipper or shoes you could make and most of them are required to have a separate sole. This post is about one such easy slipper sole that can be done in crocheting. You can work any kind of slipper on these crochet soles and adjust stitches according to your yarn type and hook size.

If you are good at knitting, a simple garter stitch patch like this would also do.

Materials Required:

Round 1: Chain 11, skip the first two stitches and begin from the 3rd one from the hook. start double crochet and you must have 9 stitches by the end of round 1.

Round 2: Chain 2, Make 9 double crochet stitches over the previous round of 9 stitches.

Round 3: Chain 2, make 4 double crochets and in 5th stitch increment one stitch. Continue in double crochet for the rest of the row. (total stitches =10)

Round 4: Chain 2, Double crochet in each stitch.

Round 5: Chain 2, Make one increment in the first stitch and the last stitch of the row. (total stitches= 12)

Round 6 - 10: Chain 2, double crochet in each stitch. (stitch count will remain 12)

Round 11: Chain 2, make 6 double crochets and in 7th stitch increment one stitch. Continue in double crochet for the rest of the row. (total stitches =13)

Round 12: Chain 2, Double crochet in each stitch.

Round 13: Chain 2, Make one increment in the first stitch and the last stitch of the row. (total stitches= 15)

Round 14 - 24: Chain 2, double crochet in each stitch. (stitch count will remain 15)

Round 25: Chain 2, Make one decrement in first and last stitch of the row. (total stitches=13)

Round 26: Chain 2, Make one decrement in first and last stitch of the row. (total stitches=11)

Round 27: Make a row of single crochet stitch all around the patch to smooth out the edges.

Fasten off and weave in the end.

Crochet Peacock Feather

Motley, Magnetic and a Mascot feather. Did I say just too much? But, that's what I think about it.
Today's post is about a lovely Peacock feather.  I made it just for fun and now I'm making key hangers and bookmarks with it. And since it looks like little colorful dream catcher I can hang it around it as well.

Skill:

Beginner

Materials:

Yarn of 6 different colors. (Probably black, blue, yellow, rust, green and a gradient green)
Crochet hook(size: 9G pony hook)

Steps:

Round 1. Make a magic ring and 8 double crochet stitches in it with the black color. Change the color to blue and add two more stitches in the magic ring of blue color.
Hence total stitches in magic ring is 10.

Round 2. Make 2 half double crochet stitches in each stitch till you reach the 8th stitch. Make 1 double crochet stitch, Chain 1, make another double crochet stitch in the same stitch ( a lil hole is made) and continue in half double crochet stitch for the full round.

Round 3. Change color to yellow. Make 2 half double crochet stitches in each stitch. when you reach the hole of the above round make 1 double crochet stitch in the hole. chain 1. make another one in the same hole. continue with the half double crochet stitches.

Round 4. Change color to rust. ( I used a beautiful gradient rust) Make 2 half double crochet stitches in one stitch and 1 in next. continue for the entire round. When you reach the Double crochets of underlying row, Make a similar double crochets for your current row.

Round 5. Change color to green. This round is done in single crochet stitch. Make 2 single crochet stitches in one stitch, 1 single crochet in next, 1 more in next. Repeat for the entire round. When you reach the Double crochets of underlying row, Make a similar double crochets for your current row.

Round 6. Take a different colored yarn. I used a green and blue gradient yarn. Cut 15 strands of equal lengths and tie them at the bottom side of the rim of the feather.

I used it as a bookmark.
